Apply now at MSDE’s application website. All you need is a PDF of your recent tax return to apply. The deadline is May 3, but we recommend completing the application as soon as possible.

If you are a current BOOST family, please remember you must fill out the application each year to renew your scholarship. BOOST recipients and their siblings are prioritized by the State.

MSDE is holding parent application-support sessions between Feb. 29 and March 20 (dates and video links are on the main BOOST page). Their staff will walk through what you need to apply for a scholarship and the application.

We encourage you to contact MSDE with technical questions at boost.msde@maryland.gov or by calling Allison Sanborn, 410-767-3575.

Please note: To access materials in Spanish or other languages, use the "translate" button in the upper right corner of the website. Three of the parent information sessions will have Spanish translation.

The BOOST application will be available from February28, 2024, at noon through Friday, May 3, 2024, no later than 11:59 PM EST.

All families who received a BOOST award for the 2023-2024 school year will receive an email with the information to access the application system.

Families that are not currently receiving a BOOST Scholarship but would like to apply, the instructions are available on the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) website.

This is the link to the information: http://marylandpublicschools.org/Pages/boost/index.aspx.

Parents must upload their applications and complete federal 1040 tax form.

Thank you for your support of Maryland's nonpublic schools' programs.

Sincerely,
The BOOST Program Staff
Maryland State Department of Education
